The basic element of Görlich loudspeakers - firm foam for membrane construction - was patented in 1935 by its inventor, doctor Emil Podszus, as one of his 180 patents. This method of membrane construction was called a 'sandwich (multilayered) system' by the inventor. Despite many advanced techniques and up-to-date materials, structure of this type is still considered as one of the best solutions in membrane construction.
The exceptionally firm and ultralight membrane whose weight never exceeds 2 grams is up to this day the unrivalled model. The loudspeakers are available in 100mm, 130mm and 170mm midwoofer, as well as 260mm subwoofer versions.
